Multiplex nanostructured platform for label-free detection of foodborne pathogens and carcinogenic pesticides
ERDF OP 2014-2020 – Specific Objective 1.1 TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFER AND FIRST INDUSTRIALIZATION PROJECTS FOR INNOVATIVE ENTERPRISES WITH HIGH POTENTIAL FOR THE FIGHT AGAINST ONCOLOGIC PATHOLOGIES – CAMPANIA LAND OF GOOD”
The collaboration developed between the research and development company Cosvitec scarl (lead partner) and the public research organizations: Istituto Zootecnico Sperimentale del Mezzogiorno (IZSM) and Istituto di Scienze Applicate e Sistemi Intelligenti E. Caianiello – CNR allowed the development and fine-tuning of a highly specific functionalized biosensor capable of detecting the presence of Glyphosate, Thiram, Salmonella, and Hepatitis A in different matrices based on RAMAN and LSPR detection system.
In parallel, Cosvitec using the collaboration of consultants from outside the partnership, has developed a second biosensor capable of determining the bacterial concentration of Salmonella and Escherichia coli in water, using electrochemical impedance combined with the use of antibodies as the physical principle.
The biosensor allows fairly short detection times (only 1 hour) and minimal sample quantities.
