Project

National Operational Program
“Research and Competitiveness” 2007-2013
Axis I, Operational Objective 4.1.1.1, Action II

Course title
“Expert in innovative processes of biomolecular synthesis applied to epigenetic techniques”

Proponent Entities
The CNR Department of Chemical Sciences and Materials Technologies with the Institute of Protein Biochemistry (IBP), the Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry (ICB) in collaboration with Cosvitec Soc Cons arl

Objectives
The course activity is geared toward the specialization of 16 actual students and 2 graduate auditors on the development of projects and processes for the synthesis, characterization and in vitro and in vivo experimentation of bioregulators for application in epigenetic techniques of chronic inflammatory processes and low grade inflammation. The present training course connected to the research project “Research and Development of Bioregulators Active on Epigenetic Mechanisms of Inflammatory Processes in Chronic and Degenerative Diseases (BIAM-EPI),” is intended to foster the recipients’ professional insertion in the scientific-pharmaceutical sector. The outgoing figure based on the specific skills acquired will be able to work in public research or private contexts in the pharmacological field, formulating and designing new drugs.
The course is intended for 16 full students and 2 auditors who meet the following entry requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or degree obtained under previous educational systems (with at least a four-year duration) in scientific disciplines
  • unemployment or inactivity;
  • residence in one of these regions: Calabria, Campania, Puglia, Sicily;
  • Italian citizenship
  • absence of working relationships in any capacity with the proponents and implementers of the project.

The course with a total duration of 1,200 hours will be divided into 18 training modules of a total of 500 classroom hours, 625 hours of internships at scientific research centers/manufacturing industries, 25 of guided tours at research institutions and manufacturing industries, 50 of research project design and management
Attendance at the course is compulsory. A scholarship of € 13,000.00 gross is provided for the 16 actual students only.
